The invention and subsequent investigation of photographic techniques represents an intensely creative time in human history and while the photographic machines used today by a Chicago corporate photographer bear little resemblance to what was used over a hundred years ago, the artistry of the medium remains the same and although the machinery is different, the profession is still a fascinating one. The mere fact that photographs took ten minutes to render when they were first invented and can now be taken in split seconds is amazing evidence of the medium's evolution throughout the centuries from the 1800s to the 2000s.
