Some of the best performances in films come from people who only have a few lines and might not even have a specific impact on the actual story or outcome of the film yet make quite an impression on the audience just from their few lines. A great example of this was in the 1998 film "The Big Lebowski" where actor Sam Elliott plays a man sitting at a bar and serves as one of the main voice over actors for the film even though he's just someone watching a few scenes from the story play out at a bar that's on the side of a bowling alley.
